Senior Analyst - Scorcards South Wales ref: 60001

Salary - £40 - £50K per annum

Job Purpose

 

To develop, deliver, maintain and manage a suite of new business and portfolio management scorecards, with associated strategies, which underpin the Credit Risk and fraud prevention systems of Picture Financial.  By drawing out implications for credit risk model development, the job holder will be key to assisting in the development of credit risk strategy, credit risk policy and new product strategy.

Principal Accountabilities

In conjunction with key business stakeholders and partners   , you will take a leading role for the specification, design and development of all Picture scorecards as necessary to maximise new business and on-going lending opportunities.  

You will undertake analysis and make presentations to the Senior members of the Risk team, and at times to the Senior Management Team, outlining informed decisions on scorecard cut-offs based on expected loss (probability of default and loss given default) for existing products and markets, new products and markets, securitisation and other associated matters.                                       

Ensure and maintain the integrity of the Risk database information and Risk Management reports through the establishment of checks and audits.

Develop and maintain a suite of regular analytical reports and audits inclusive of scorecard performance, scorecard operation across multi-dimensional views with impacts at loan level, category of business, advertising outlet and strategy.  

Summarise data and analysis into commentary with recommendations to facilitate business change where appropriate.

Monitor, test and audit all aspects of the Picture Financial portfolio and applicant population to ensure that the business performs to expectations.

Undertake monthly reporting and auditing which includes:-

New business application

Scorecard performance monitoring

Customer Management behavioural scorecard performance monitoring

Arrears and Dynamic Delinquency performance and support for arrears management

Bad Debt and Collections dimensions and provisions

Scorecard Operation - override levels and performance

Distribute and present the monthly reports to the Risk Team, and as required, to the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in order to meet business, governance and control requirements.

Credit Control Manager Cardiff ref: 60002

Salary - £35K per annum

The Finance function within our client is divided into six distinct areas: Financial Operations, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis, Planning and Reporting and International.

The Financial Operations team is the largest area, consisting of individuals who are involved in a range of activities within the framework of Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR). This includes Billing, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Cash Management and Credit Control.

As a key member of the Credit Control team we are looking for a individual to assume responsibility and drive a Credit Control function based in our Cardiff but interacting with internal customers based in all our UK offices. The role is operational in nature with the individuals performance having a direct impact on the firms bottom line. As such the role will be largely target driven.

Key responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include day to day management of the local Credit Control team, to ensure compliance with service level agreements. In addition to the operational and target driven aspects of the role the individual will be required to drive change through this team during the next twelve months in order to deliver a more complete, robust service for the firm.


You will be responsible for managing staff resourcing, recruitment, training and development requirements across the team; design and monitoring of operational metrics and KPI's; identifying and developing operational service improvements in association with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Skills and experience:

It is essential that you have previous senior management experience and can demonstrate that you have successfully driven operational and consequently financial improvements within a similar environment.

Ideally you will have extensive experience within a Credit Control environment, however, we will also entertain applications from individuals who have experience within a wider finance environment.

Key competencies:

You will be a strong people manager, with previous experience of managing customers across numerous sites and good project/change management skills. You must be a proven strategic thinker with a "can-do" attitude.
