About DCSDCS began life in 2007 as a specialist recruitment company for the credit industry and for sourcing professional credit personnel. Roles we have fulfilled include controllers, collectors, consultants, project managers and credit industry business development managers to companies throughout the UK. DCS maintains this as a key strength of the business and in January 2010 has added Contracting to its portfolio.

DCS Recruitment is dedicated to finding jobs within the Credit Management, Accountancy and Financial Industries in the UK & Eire.

Training

The Training division of the company grew out of the needs of clients to develop greater value from their staff by specialised and highly tailored courses on and off site. DCS is proud to offer the training courses it has available led and delivered by recognised experts in the credit industry.

Consultancy

The Consultancy division of the company has developed from and is delivered by experts in the various specialities of credit management, whether home or export trade, B2B, B2C, or public service organisation. This includes advisory, project based, and interim management solutions.

Jason Pallister MICM Grad - Managing Director (jason@creditpro.co.uk)

Jason founded DCS in early 2007 and has built strong relationships with some major companies since then. Jason continues to develop DCS around the core values that he has established; to provide an unequalled service in terms of cost, quality and reaction time to all of its clients. Jason has been appointed ICM South Wales Branch Chairman in January 2010 and intends to increase the profile of the ICM within the region.

Kevin Trueman - Operations & Marketing Director (kevin@creditpro.co.uk)

Kevin spent nearly 20 years in various management roles within Industry both in the U.K. and abroad. He later founded his own local I.T. & Marketing business of which he remains a director. He started working with DCS upon its inception in 2007 and has worked closely with Jason Pallister to develop the business to where it is today. Kevin is responsible for the day to day running of the business as well as working closely with all of the consultants to continue the rapid growth of DCS.

Pam Thomas MICM PGCE MITOL - Training and Development

Pam has extensive training and management experience gained through a variety of roles in banking and corporate finance sectors. She holds a post graduate degree in education and training, is a member of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL) and the Institute of Credit Management (ICM)

Professional Experience

Pam has gained over 15 years of corporate credit management experience working with a number of international organisations providing her with a thorough understanding of people management, sales, finance and customer care.

Pam now concentrates on credit management training and education working extensively with Thames Valley University to develop the first BA Hons and degree foundation degree in credit management. She also runs coaching and mentoring programmes for organisations coaching individuals to achieve personal and corporate success.

Specialist Skills

Pam’s areas of specialisation include delivering training programmes in credit management, interpersonal and communication skills, one to one and business coaching, instructional programme design and delivery plus consultancy skills.

She has a good understanding of processes within the business environment and the ability to respond to the pressures and issues facing teams and management in today’s ever changing economical climate.

Derek Phillips – Business Development / Recruitment Consultant (Wales) (derek@creditpro.co.uk)

Derek Phillips has been self-employed for many years within the Internet and online marketing fields, and has built up a great deal of expertise in online recruitment. He is currently developing the overall DCS online marketing strategy to ensure we reach the best candidates, as well as building new business in the Wales area.

Jill Weymouth MICM (Grad) - Trainer

Having qualified as a graduate member of the Institute of Credit Management, Jill went on to teach ICM students at her local college.

An active member of the Bristol & West of England ICM Branch, she sat on the committee for over 10 years holding positions of Student Officer, Social Organiser and Branch Vice Chairman.

After working for many years in the construction industry dealing in all aspects of Credit Management and connected areas, she now specialises in consultancy and training in this vital subject.

Jill now works for a number of organisations including the Institute of Credit Management and Experian (Ireland). As well as presenting public training courses this involves her in on going training and development with a wide range of different businesses.

T Glyndwr Powell FICM - Trainer

Glyn has worked in the Credit field for nearly thirty years, both as a Credit Manager and as a Leasing and Sales Finance specialist for major corporates such as Xerox, Philips, GATX and Diageo. His extensive background in collections and enforcement operations, including a number of process re-engineering projects, ensures sound credit policies and cash generation, whilst enabling the organisation to grow sales effectively.

His experience includes managing a sales force and distributor network and developing new business and markets using stock financing, leasing and other sales financing techniques. He has established cross-border leasing facilities and local purchase finance and rental solutions in developing markets. He also managed Xerox’s investment and acted as their Board representative in an offshore mutual credit insurance captive.

He worked in a number of major trade consultancy firms, bringing a wealth of experience in risk placement, cash generation and credit management as a sales tool to the organisation. His knowledge of commerce ensures an understanding of corporate financing priorities and how organisations can access the plethora of methods and schemes available in the market place today.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Management and the Institute of Export. He completed his Foundation Degree in Credit Management at TVU in 2006 and is currently studying for an Honours Degree. He has advised Lloyds of London and other underwriters on African and Middle Eastern risks, has lectured extensively on credit management, sales aid financing and leasing, both within the UK and abroad, and is a contributor to Financial Times and Croners publications on credit and risk management. He is the co-author of Tolley’s Credit Management & Collections and Gower’s Credit Management Handbook, the definitive text on Credit Management today.

He is currently a member of the Institute of Credit Management’s Technical Advisory Panel and writer for the Credit Management magazine on credit insurance and export. In addition he acts as the Institute’s trainer on overseas collections and export credit.

Glyn is married with two children, living in Hertfordshire. His other interests include war-gaming, reading Science Fiction and exploring the more unusual parts of the world.
